About

Philadelphia, PA

I'm Daniel Xu, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Causal Inference, working with Eric Tchetgen Tchetgen, Enrique Schisterman, and Ellen Caniglia. I earned my PhD in biostatistics from Harvard University and completed my undergraduate studies at Penn in the Roy and Diana Vagelos Program in Life Sciences and Management (Class of 2019). Before graduate school, I worked as a management consultant, primarily advising clients in the biopharmaceutical industry.

I've been into photography since my time at Penn, where I was a senior photographer for the Daily Pennsylvanian, our student newspaper. Over the years, I've developed a versatile portfolio that includes portrait photography (especially graudation pictures) and event coverage for performances, dances, weddings, and other special occasions. I also greatly enjoy landscape photography, especially while traveling or spending time outdoors.
